Yoga For Beginners

This workshop is specifically designed with beginners in mind - whether you are starting your yoga journey for the very first time, or if you’ve been practising for a little while but want to go back to basics. I’ll be drawing on my many years experience as a yoga practitioner, teacher, and yoga teacher trainer to teach you all you will need to know as a newcomer to the practice including debunking myths around what yoga truly is, poses, meditation, and breath work. By the end of our time together you will feel confident enough to be able to join any class and I will signpost you in the direction of a yoga teacher near you so that you can continue your journey. You can expect to learn:

Asana : I will be breaking down and teaching the most common poses that you will find in a yoga class, including sun salutations, and will show you how you can safely modify poses to suit your body.

Pranamaya : you’ll experience breathing exercises and learn when and why they are relevant.

Meditation : we’ll discuss various methods of meditation and how you can incorporate even the most simple meditation practice into your daily life.

Philosophy : this is at the very core of the yoga practice and without it there simply is no yoga. We’ll be discussing the 8 limbed path of yoga and how these can be easily integrated into your life on your journey as a yoga practitioner.
